This is a question that often comes to each of our minds. The real, true answer is only found in God's Word.
By believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for YOU will assure you that you are on your way to Heaven.
The Bible says in I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”
Let's go down the Romans Road together and find out about this Jesus that we hear so much about!
#1. Realize That You Are A Sinner
The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
Each and every one of us is a sinner. We have all sinned in our lives at one time or another. If you say that you have never sinned, you lie to yourself and therefore, commit sin.
The Bible also says in Romans 3:10, "…there is none righteous, no, not one." So, step #1 is to realize that you are a sinner...

#2. Realize That Sin Carries A Penalty
The Bible says in Romans 6:23a, "For the wages of sin is death..."
Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
There is a point in each of our lives that we must face - death. Death doesn't sound pleasing to the ear, but the fact is that it is real. The consequence for our sins is eternal death in the lake of fire.
The Bible says in Revelation 20:14, 15, "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
When you come to die, that's it. There is no turning back after you die! That is why you should decide for Christ now!
#3. Realize That Jesus Died To Pay For Your Sins
Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 also says, "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Jesus Christ came a little over 2,000 years ago and shed His own life blood for OUR sins! How amazing!
Jesus loved each of us so much that He was willing to go to the cross for us! He died, was buried, and rose again the third day as the Bible says!
"…I declare unto you the gospel…that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." I Corinthians 15:1-4
#4. Accept Jesus Christ, As Your Personal Savior
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:9 also says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
God has offered to each of us a free gift - eternal life.
Romans 6:23b says, "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
All that we have to do is repent of our sins and accept the gift of eternal life! "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..."
